Program Details

The New Tenure-Track Orientation session (NTTO) welcomes you to Texas State University and helps you prepare for a successful start to your school year. During this 4-hour workshop, you will be able to meet and get to know other new tenure-track faculty members, learn more about university policies and procedures, and explore career and scholarly opportunities here at Texas State.
Faculty Success emails all new tenure-track faculty information regarding NTTO, which takes place in August every fiscal year. Attendance is expected for all new tenure-track faculty and those who were previously in a nontenure line position and hired this year to a tenure-track position. This required session is in addition to attendance at New Faculty Orientation, and focuses on familiarizing you with policies, procedures, and practices that will help you be successful in progressing toward tenure.
After NTTO...
The Scholarship & Teaching Excellence Program (STEP) consists of sessions dedicated to ensuring a solid foundation for research, teaching, and scholarship.
